WBC-or-BUST: Rules & Guidelines
TO ENTER
If you don't already have one, create a free WineCHATr.com blogger account. Choose a "WBC-or-BUST" badge/banner from your WineCHATr.com account manager. Add the badge source code to your blog website, so that it is visible from any page.
TO QUALIFY
Once the WBC-or-BUST badge has been properly added to your blog website, simply blog about Washington wine throughout the span of the contest. No less than one Washington wine post must be published to remain eligible.
TO WIN
12 winning bloggers will be named at the conclusion of the campaign. Two winners will be chosen for posting the most Washington wine related blog entries (minimum of 150 words required for each post). Six additional winners will be chosen for the best category based posting:
- Top 2 Best Washington winery posts
- Top 2 Best Washington wine or tasting note posts
- Best Washington growing region post
- Best Washington vineyard post
The final four winners will be selected at random out of all qualifying participants.
CONTEST DURATION
The contest is scheduled to run for six months, beginning October 2009 and running though the end of April 2010. Note, bloggers may enter the contest at any point during the 6-month campaign.
BLOG REQUIREMENTS
Qualifying Washington blog postings must be a minimum of 150 words. Twitter posts are not eligible.
RECOMMENDED BLOG TOPICS
Blog topics may include anything from wines, wineries, growing regions, or wine related news, as long as the focus of the post is Washington related.
ABOUT THE JUDGES
Various WA wine bloggers will handle the judging and choose the final winners, overseen by a representative from WineCHATr.com.
CONTEST EXEMPTIONS
Qualifying participants must have an existing wine blog at the start of the campaign, October 26th, in order to be eligible. WA residence/bloggers are exempt from participating in the contest.
CONTEST EXCLUSIONS
All WBC-or-BUST winners must already have a ticket to the 2010 Wine Bloggers Conference. Tickets to the WBC event are not provided.
